Thank you so much for choosing us to spend your holiday in Cornwall, we are extremely excited to be opening our doors and welcoming you back again! Due to the current climate with Covid -19 we have put the following into place.

We ask if you are feeling unwell, or show any signs or symptoms that you call us as soon as possible to reschedule your booking. There will be no penalties for having to do this as the safety of our guests, staff and family are paramount. The Tremarne isn’t just a business; it is also our family home.

Your enjoyment of spending your holiday here is very important to us and we understand that the new ways of doing things are going to be very different. However we will still be more than happy to chat about your day, recommend places to visit and spend time with our guests, as this is what we love!– just at a safe distance using the correct PPE.

Check in - We will require you to book an arrival slot, or an estimated time of arrival to help us control the flow of guests entering and leaving the hotel. Check in time starts from 2.30pm to ensure your room is ready for your arrival. Should you arrive and see guests in our reception area, please keep a safe distance before entering.

We can help with luggage up to your rooms after we have checked you in. We will drop these outside your doors, for you to safely bring into your room.

Hand Sanitizer stations are placed around the communal areas of the hotel and must be used when entering the hotel, restaurant and other communal areas.

Breakfast – We are changing our breakfast system to ensure that we have only a limited amount of guests in the restaurant at any one time to adhere with social distancing.  Guests will be required to book a breakfast slot, and pre order cooked breakfast to minimise contact with our staff. We also ask, that once you are in the restaurant you remain seated at your table and only leave for essential trips (i.e. to go to the toilet) There will be an early sitting and a late sitting for breakfast. We will also be encouraging breakfast in your rooms, which will also need to be pre-ordered the night before.

Stairs – We are making a one way system with one set of stairs for travelling up and one for down. This will reduce the risk of meeting any guests on the stairs. If there was an emergency, this rule does not apply.

Facemasks may become a necessity and therefore we are encouraging all guests to wear them when entering and exiting the hotel, as well as travelling the corridors. Although we will be wearing facemasks and PPE, the same happy smiley faces will be here to greet you throughout your stay.

Our public toilet will be closed until further notice. Guests are asked to use the toilet in their bedrooms.

Our outdoor swimming pool will opening on Thursday 16th July.

Housekeeping – We have made the decision to lower the contact of our housekeepers entering your rooms. Guest rooms shall be cleaned every 3 days, and we ask that you leave the room before our housekeepers enter. Should you require any top ups or fresh towels in the meantime, please make us aware. We will talk you through this on check in. If you would like daily housekeeping there will be an option to opt in by speaking to Tam at reception. Our housekeepers will be equipped with the correct PPE to carry out their daily rigorous cleaning routines, especially around the high touch and traffic points.

Cleaning of high touch and traffic points will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.

We have invested in a disinfectant fogging machine which will be used on every room after it has been deep cleaned after check out and all public areas, daily. This will disinfect the whole room and furniture before you arrive.

The Bar will be open however we will be limited to the amount of guests who can enter at any one time to ensure social distancing.

The Lounge will be open for use; however we will be limiting the amount of guests who can enter at any one time to ensure social distancing.

Evening meals will be served in the restaurant. We have limited the amount of spaces available for this so please be sure to book if you require. Pre-orders will be taken for evening meals and time slots given. We do recommend making reservations at restaurants during your stay as there are lovely places to eat in the village; however we are sure these will be limited.

Outside Areas – We are extremely lucky to have spacious outside areas for our guests to enjoy. The tables on the front patio are spaced more than 2 meters apart to ensure they can be enjoyed at a safe distance. Breakfast, evening meals and drinks can be served here weather permitting! Although out pool cannot open at this time, our garden space can be. We have sun beds and sitting areas for our guests to enjoy while taking in the beautiful views. All chairs, tables and sun beds will be cleaning and left for 30 minutes after each use.

This is extremely new to us as it is to everyone, please bear with us while we are introducing these new systems. Our promise to you is that we will do our utmost to ensure The Tremarne Hotel is a safe place for you to visit and enjoy your holiday. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
